Hi am new to the site and will be popping by occaisionally to say hi. I have a daughter with ADD and at present based out of the UAE.
She is unfortunately not able to go to mainstream school (long story) was in mainstream back home but now goes to a small school which deals with children like my daughter. Would be interested in knowing how those of you with girls with ADD cope. I have one friend here who has a daughter with ADHD and they are so different to boys.
She is coming up for 10, she is none violent just fidgety, absent minded and has a very short attention span.
How do your children cope in group settings and how do you get them to interact with other children
hello and welcome! She sounds a lot like my daughter who is now 13. It's quite the challenge. Does your daughter take any medication?
There's a great book about friends by Fred Frankel called Good firends are Hard to Find:Help your Child Find, Make and Kepp Good Friends. I read this several years ago and there's some good advice.
