antihistamines vs stimulants | ADHD Information

I know antihistamines are used with many mood and psychological disorders to curb symptoms.  Has anyone ever used this instead of a stimulant with their child?  If yes, what and how did it work out for your child?

like Claritin (not Claritin D) every morning. It is a non drowsy type. I've
also been giving her a glass of milk around bed time. One of these 2 things
seems to be helping her fall asleep much more quickly. Has anyone else
had this experience?
