Catch 22 and concerta | ADHD Information
My son's psychiatrist noticed he was emotionless as well and prescribed prozac in addition to his Concerta. After several weeks, he was much better. You definitely need to talk to your MD. Alot of people who are on ADHD med. also need an antidepressant for these exact reasons. Not because you are depressed, but it helps with this exactly. Trust me, he's heard it before. He will not take you off of Concerta. He may just add Prozac or something similar. Good luck!I've had the same problems with adderall. How do you know your not right about the cameras, did you check? and the people you think hate you, they just might not like you. Honestly, I get very emotionless and a bit self-centered. I've learned when things don't bother people they hate it, and after they try and make you look bad again and again and you don't give a Poop. They end up looking bad, and they have to respect you and personally I'd rather have that. Stay with it, get over your phoebias and learn. Try to change things up. Maybe know a topic and start a convo instead. See who talks. If their talking then their trying to get along with you. Oh yea and learn to trust yourself. Even if your landlord didnt put in cameras, whats it hurt to be skeptical? Just don't go around talking about it.Hi I'm a bit confused about how I should deal with this problem and would appreciate some ideas.
I have been on concerta 72mg since getting diagnosed a year ago. What it has given me and the impact it has had on my life is brilliant. Im so much more organised and goal driven and feel optimistic that I can achieve things. Thats on the one hand. However on the other hand it has made me more uncomfortable around people and dare I say it, paranoid.
I find that when Im on the concerta Im kinda like emotionless around people and worry too much that people hate me. Yesterday I also thought that my landlord had put hidden cameras around the house :(
Im so frustrated and scared to tell my p doc coz I dont want him to take away the medication that has helped me with so much.
Stimulant medications can cause increased anxiety. Talk to the doc, maybe he can either give you something to help with the anxiety, or you can try a different stimulant, they dont all cause the same side effects.
