You are under a treatment plan for ADHD and one for bipolar disorder? I was treated by one psychiatrist for a year for ADHD with Concerta. It helped. Then, I moved and had to find another doctor. The next one gave me a questionaire to fill out and decided I was bi-polar instead. He put me on that lamictal you are on. It made me nuts, angry, extremely depressed, feelings of hopelessnes, etc. And I wasn't even yet at the full 300 mg he wanted me to be on. Only 200 mg when I said "enough." I had been titrating for over 2 months and no improvement of my "bipolar" disorder. Now, I am starting all over with another doctor. I am so not believing I am bipolar. Sounds like, from what I've read, that you have the inattentive kind of ADD.
I googled lamictal and found out there are just way too many side effects that wasn't worth messing with. Life should not be unlivable if you are on the right meds. I would talk to your doctor about it and soon. Good luck.
I am under a med treatment plan and its barely working and I also under a treatment plan for biplolar disorder and that doesnt help much (lithium and limactil) What possible misdiagnosises are there for ADHD? I have bad social problems and am generally quiet, my attention span is bad (this is my main concern) I have day dreams almost constantly, and life is almost unlivible at this point. I have a 145 IQ but without attention I may as well be retarded. same with the social skills.
