Trouble getting diagnosedHi Scattered! If you talk to your MD and he is hesitant to diagnose you, did you ask him his explanation for what could be wrong? Or maby he can reccomend a Pych that will be able to diagnose you. I am not sure how to go about it becaues in mine and my sons case the Dr kept arguing that we were the school originally suspected my son and sent us to MD. I hope you continue to check it out and get whatever help is needed. This probably wasn't much help but good luck and welcome.
Thanks for any replies Sonya Welcome Scattered! You don't sound like your bipolar, unless you left something out. Sounds like adhd to me. Also most family docs don't know or don't wan't to know much about adhd/add. Before finding a new family doc, my other one said "you may have add, but I think your tri-polar" When I asked what tripolar was, he quickly left the room and returned with a months samples of Zyprexa! After just one dose(before bed) the next morning I actually felt happier or something. I can't discribe the feeling. My hubby said my disposition was nicer. After 3 days of feeling "nicer" the scale and my jeans were not so kind So to make a long story short, find a good pych. I had already been DX'ed as ADD w/anxiety over 2 yrs ago, after his nurse refered me to one and that dumb sob haden't a clue! So much for family medicine GOOD LUCK & keep us posted.
Thanks anyways, ya I am going to try and find out why they wont go there and keep on insisting that I am bipolar? I dont think so. I was put on Zyprexa for about two weeks then went off, one, it didnt do a darn thing and two I gained about a pound a day! Talk about making you depressed if you werent already. Thanks again, I will keep on insisting. Sonya |
