Taking dd off Vyvanse | ADHD Information
Well, things were going great, but dd still isn't eating well at all and she's losing weight. She's always been pretty underweight, so the not eating issue is a big thing for us. She also seems to be getting depressed in the afternoons as it's wearing off and a few times, I've found her in her room crying and she tells me that she doesn't know what's wrong. We have also noticed that even though her grades are improving greatly, her social skills are pretty much gone. I don't want her talking non-stop, but I also don't want her to lose her friends (which, I slowly see happening).
There are some good things about the medicine and I would recommend it to others, but I just don't think it's "THE" right medicine for her and I'd like to try something else. this is all part of the balancing thats involved. As parents we need to do what's best overall for our children. My daughter also had improved grades on her med, but the weight loss (significant) and other issues have me switching again. I just have to feel it's "THE" right med or med combo, like you say. I think you're doing the right thing.
