just prescribed higher dose of Strattera | ADHD Information

100 mg is the highest dose so that's probably where you need to be

we just started my teen daughter on Strattera dn our p-doc says one full week at each dose to see any result. I agree 1-2 weeks you should know.

As an aside, you could add a small stimulant dose to you Strattera if needed.

My hopes are that I wont have to wait that 4-6 week period that I initially had to go through when I first went on it...1-2 weeks I can TOTALLY deal with.  :)

As Strattera is weight based how will I know if I am at my optimum level of medication?  I am a heavy gal about 210 pounds. 

kellibelli39411.6745833333I am an adult with ADHD and I have been on Strattera for several months now.  It has been a blessing for me.  However, I have only been on 80 mg.  I requested to be put on the 100 mg dosage in hopes that I will be able to sit still and focus better on my work (I am a medical transcriptionist) without having to get up and take so many breaks.  In fact, there has never been a day in my life where I could put in a full 8 hours.  It is closer to 5 hours if I am lucky.  Anyways, I have noticed an improvement in my behavior, impulsivity, quickness to lose my temper, etcetera, etcetera with the Strattera and I have no complaints, but I want to try to get an idea of how long it will take for this new dosage of 100 mg to actually kick in...any ideas???
