Possible ADHD Cause Discovered

There is new evidence that low oxygen levels in newborns may be a cause for ADHD. Dr. Glenda Keating, at Emory University in Atlanta, has found that small, brief pauses in breathing in newborns leads to long-lasting reduction in the brain chemical dopamine, and causes the symptoms of ADHD. These small pauses in breathing (apnea) is common in premature births.
