Ok, so the problem is the dosage is too low. Target range for 53 lbs is 29 mg- 43 mg.
I'm thinking of asking the Dr. if when we get home at 4:00, if I could give her 10mg's.
The strattera never affected his sleep. He says it helped with appetite to take it at night.
But now I'm thinking he might do better if he splits the dose - maybe 40 at night and 18 in the morning if it doesn't bother his appetite. Now he's taking 60 at night.
If anything, strattera makes them tired, so the nighttime thing shouldn't be a big deal that way. I think I'm going to start a new thread asking about effectiveness based on the time of day it's taken.

didn't effect my daughter's sleep either. And almost a month on it and has not effected her appetite either.

DId switching to taking the dose at night help with appetite? Did it affect sleep?
Yes, it slowly wears off as the day goes on, but does provide some level of coverage 24/7. You need to split the dosage. So if she's getting 50 mg total, give 40 mg in the morning and 10 mg in the afternoon. Or 25 mg in the morning and 25 in the afternoon. Talk to you talk about this method.
She is taking 25 right now, so maybe splitting that in half?? Or giving her the 25mg in the morning and when she gets home giving like 10mg's? I'll ask her pedia I guess. thanks for the infor
Check the dosages. The website for strattera actually talks about this but then they don't have it in that many strengths and it's weight based. There is a 10, 18 and 25 mg. capsule. If she's on 25, then maybe you can go up to 18 + 10 if 28 isn't too high.
