Interesting comment from the doc | ADHD Information

that is interesting.  I posted about a bad episode with DS and I was talking a my best friend, whose son is autistic, and she said the same with him.  I'm in New England too and I wonder if its the missing sunlight, not being able to play outside at much (DS get off the bus at 4pm and its dark by 4:30).  Hhhmmm interesting.

Well, I know that the end of Daylight Savings Time and the shorter days have definitely been affecting ME, anyway....  I seem to be "extra" spacey lately....  It really bugs me that it feels like the sun is starting to go down around 2pm....and I have a much harder time getting up in the morning when it is still dark outside.[QUOTE=rswf]

Maybe it's the extra excitement during the holiday season?

Let's face it - everyone - including adults are extra charged up and stressed and excited.

I agree with this answer.  Even if it is good excitement, or negative, or the stress of wondering is Santa going to stop at my house this year.  That could be contributing.  But I do see why you were upset and I think that he could have explained himself better than he did.

I know the change of time and seasons has affected our household greatly. from my son to myself I find things are just out of sync. Interesting perspective.

We met with the doc yesterday for our routine visit and were describing to him some behavior issues that have come up recently.  He was quick to state that he does not make medication changes/recommendations or take new patients during this time of year b/c children with ADD/ADHD (what he specializes in) for some reason tend to be more problematic this time of year.  He did not really expound on this but simply told us to just hang in there and that he would re-assess the situation during our next visit in January.
