What time to take Strattera?? | ADHD Information

My kids both take strattera at night.  One does so because it affected his appetite during the day.  The other just gets knocked out by it, even after being on it for 6 months.

Does anyone know if it works as well this way?  Should I try splitting their doses?  For my older one, it would only mean going from 60 at night to 58 from splitting (I'm thinking 18 morning, 40 at night).

The Lilly website mentions both splitting and "changing the time of day medicine is taken" if there are stomach or sleep problems with it.  But they say to take it in the morning in general. Does anyone know why that is?  I know it doesn't matter what time of day you take zoloft.   Does this build up in the blood stream the same way?

Strattera experts out there - thanks for replying.
our p-doc told us to split the dose. So we are currently doing 18 in the am and 18 in the pm. No side effects. Splitting the dose sometimes helps, and sometimes taking the larger dose, then a smaller one helps too. I would fool around with it, and see what works, just give it a few days in between for adjustment.
