Is the pediatrician the one who diagnosed her and is writing prescriptions? Pediatricians aren't the right doctor's for ADHD. She needs a neuropsychologist to diagnos. Unless your pediatrician specializes in ADHD, I would have her reevaluated by a neuro.
Our school has to do an evaluation first then we can go to the neuro. per our insurance. That is how we are able to get it covered by insurance. I would never go by what a teacher or pediatrician says. Our pediatrician told us himself that this is not his field of expertise. He can help them when they are sick, broken bones, physicals, but not mental health. I respected him tremendously for that! He can write prescripts, and has for us, but he just writes what the psychopharmacologist writes for us.
I would recommend a full evaluation by a pediatric neuropsychologist.
Just my opinion.
Oh and the meds, we struggled with both adderallxr and concerta and concerta worked best for DS. Get the eval so you will know what is exactly going on and go to a professional!!
Best wishes.

Yes, it was the same pediatrician that diagnosed my daughter and prescribed medication.
