question about concerta | ADHD Information

dd is now on the higher concerta dose, 36mg i beleve, i would have to go upstairs to double check, but i don't fell like it, anyhow.... she started yesterday so she's on day 2, and is extremely emotional, been like this for the 2 days, all day!

I do beleve when she whent up to 27mg she did the same for a few days, can this be temporary? I still don't have any info from school how she is there, friday was a pd day, and today was a snow day.

I don't realy see a difference compair to first week of 18mg, but with the 18mg it went well for the first 4 days, then it was not as effective, i hope this settles it's realy anoying!

I was just given Concerta this am to start giving my 6 year old dd...she's been on Medadate CD and Ritalin LA already with continuing issues.

I do know that each medicine will react differently to each person. I say, if it doesn't get better by tomorrow...I would call the doctor and try something else.

It's frustrating...I KNOW! Keep the faith!

My daughter previously was on Ritalin LA and we made the switch to Concerta a couple of months ago to get better coverage through out the day.   She was on 18 mg for 6 weeks or so and was very crabby and agitated in the afternoon/evening.   Recently, we upped her dosage to 27 mg and thing have been much better.   It's been 5 days now, so hopefully things have settled down.

Maybe stick it out for another day or two and call the doctor things don't seem right.  It might not be the right med for her.

my daughter could not tolerate Concerta AT ALL.  Made her very nervous/anxious. Give it a week (if you can), then call the doc if it's not better.
