Time of day for Strattera | ADHD Information

No, if it is working for her being split then split it. We did with DD because it helped her sleep. Edbson, we are at target dose for my daughter 54mg (82 pounds). I'm doing 36 in the am and 18 in the pm. Do you think she should take it all in the a.m.? Part of our goal is to help mornings. We've only been at target dose for a week. It is supposed to be taken in the morning after the initial ramp period is over.

We split the dose, but if I had to give it once a day, I would do the morning.

They say it doesnt matter and if they get tired from it, it's fine to give in the evening.

Has anyone noticed a difference based on the time of day (morning or night) that you give Strattera? We have been giving it to my son at dinner time for the past month, but the behavior changes have been inconsistant. We decided to start giving it to him in the morning to see if we notice any changes. Today was the first day we gave it in the morning.  I was wondering if anyone else has seen changes based on when you give it. I know that people have tried splitting the dose, but that won't work for us as it is a fight each time to get him to take and I don't want to give it to him more than once a day. Just to update you, after giving DS the Strattera in the morning for the first time, his teacher called us this afternoon to say how much of a positive change she saw in him. She said that even before she read my note about giving it in the morning she knew that he had taken it today. She said that he came right into school and did what he was asked. She said that he was so much more focused today. She also said that it did not make him tired (as I was afraid it would do). I also noticed that he followed directions better when he came home from school.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the change we have been looking for.
