I’m Looking for online test for ADHD | ADHD Information

Try Googling "adhd test" or "adhd screen" and I expect you'll find what you're looking for.  Not to be relied on for a "diagnosis" of course!!  the World Health Organization description of ADHD is pretty good and usually turns on more than a few lightbulbs if a person with ADHD reads it the first time.

I have read several topics where members refer to an online test they took to establish the possibility of having ADHD!  My son has ADHD/ODD and I highly suspect that my adult Cousin (29 yrs old) has ADHD too, he has not been diagnosed and he also, supects that he has ADHD after some light information I have given him!

Can someone Please, tell me where we can find one of these self-tests that he can take online?

Sincerely, Overloaded Mom

Overloaded Mom -

Hello! My primary care physician concurred that there is no test for this disorder. But he did tell me the three things that MUST be true in order to be properly diagnosed with ADD:

- proof that the symptoms were present THROUGHOUT your life,

- be able to list more than a few symptoms. Some of the most common are: constantly interrupting, talking too much, driving fast, chronically late, limited task completion, lack of focus (known as "multi-tasking" which is NOT the best way to get things done - smile!), low achievement (dropping out of HS or college), cluttered house-cluttered mind, etc!

- symptoms must be present in both your personal and professional life/relationships (for children: school, home, and relationships)

I really hope this helps!
