Tic from Daytrana | ADHD Information

My son has been on Daytrana for a few months and seems to have
developed a tic. He coughs incesantly. Often times it has a rythm to it. We
took him to his ENT Dr. and he says that he has developed a "habit" of
coughing. That diagnosis came after he scoped him through his nose and
down into his throat. We have tried everything that would help relieve or
remove a cough. He does not do it in his sleep, which also makes us think it
is a tic of some sort.

Has anyone ever experienced something like this before? We read that 7 of
74 in the inital trial complained of tics...we are wondering if our son is in
that ~10%. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.sounds like it - coughing and throat clearing are a common tic. Habit isnt a good word. This is not something he can control. Well he can probably control it temporarily, but he will cough. Trying a different stimulant may help.
