Has anyone taken their child to the Child Study Center in Ft Worth, TX for an evaluation? We have an appt there next month and I'd like to know what to expect as far as treatment. We see a psychiatrist right now (or rather we see the NP at the office) and I'm not impressed to say the least. So if anyone has been there and had a good or bad experience please let me know.

I have not been there, but if you are having issues...try Cooks Children. They have a Phsycologist and psychiatrist that actually work together as a team! They also do testing all over the Metroplex. I tried other therapy outside of Cooks and I just realized that Cook's is head and shoulders above the rest. They just want to help the child become their best in whatever way is needed. And I love that..they specialize in KIDS!
Good luck on testing...beware of "God Like" doctors and diagosis. The best doctor will always tell you that this is what they see currently in your childs behavior and that it may or may not change as the child gets older. Run if anything else happens! (Just my opinion in dealing with doctors ad both of my children)
