lot# 2617211 daytrana | ADHD Information

Hi, this is my first post. Is anyone having an issue with this lot # from
daytrana. We have had great success with the 10mg patch and school has
been going really well. We started this lot (box) 8 days ago and our son has
been having the worst week ever. My wife and I are stumped. Any thoughts?

The recalled patches still work, just the adhesive is tough on them. Maybe time to look at the meds, the weather, the holidays coming?

Check that post.  I know there were others.  I may have overreacted because I spent 2 hours today trying to track down a different lot but the box I had was bad.  Maybe some in that lot are fine but I'm not taking chances with it.  I had NO problems with the glue, it just didn't work.  Teachers were calling me and asking if I'd stopped medication.  Once I got the new box, all was great at school.


IT"S A BAD LOT!!! CALL SHIRE AND RETURN IT!!! I AM FURIOUS THAT IT IS STILL OUT THERE!!  IT'S NOT THE GLUE!! THERE ISN'T ANY MEDICINE ON IT!!

We had this lot last month and it was like it didn't work at all.  others posted on this board about it also.  I called Shire and they gave me a coupon for 40 patches.  I had already gotten a refill that worked (lot 2616911).  So I go to refill again this week with the coupon and THEY GAVE ME A BOX FROM THE BAD LOT!! Of course we didn't realize it until this morning when my husband went to put it on!!

I went back to Rite Aid and they took the return, tracked down a good box and redid the coupon.  The pharmacists said that they heard nothing from Shire!!!  The pharmacist had to call 4 stores before she found one with the good lot.

I don't get why Shire is being so stubborn about this.  I really like Daytrana but if this happens again, we're trying concerta.

There IS meds, the recall was for the adhesive, not the meds. The recall notice clearly states there is noting wrong with usisng them, other than they are difficult to remove from the backing. It probably isn't Shire, it is probably a pharmacy that still had that one box on the shelf. My nephew is using a box of that lot # and we have had NO problems, we have 1 more in the cabinet. edbson39434.8663773148
