I've been on Adderral for the past two months and I've had to get my dosage upped once. After this month goe by, I may ask to be bumped up again, or of that's not possible, try something else. I started out at 15 and am now on 20 and it was great at first, but now I'm not as focused as I was the first week.
But I am making more of an effort to do things even though I don't have that "full-focused" feeling I had the first week on XR... which is probably a good thing. Maybe the best way is to have the drug in the background giving me just enough nudge to do the rest on my own so in the short future I won't have to take any drugs what so ever.
I too was prescribed a low dose to start with. I was told to take 5mg for the first month and was given one refill of 5mg for the second month. I don't think its working like a true xr since the sensations I was initially getting are gone after only one week on the drug and I still have no increase focus. Isn't it true that people build up a tolorance to adderall at low dosages and should be stepped up very soon after the first week or so?I have; but with time; you kinda get used to it and the benefits seem to fade a bit. At first; I had incredible results! I could focus; and finish tasks; and even felt more motivated to venture into new projects. But after 3 months; I started to feel like I did before the XR, so my doc increased my prescription. But that raised my blood pressure and made me jittery. I'm not sure what to do next.What was your initial dosage? I'm taking 10mg. It seems to be working well today. DId you notice how long it lasted. I was told it may last less than 12 hours which is what i am hopingThis is my first day on Adderall XR. I switched from concerta because i didnt like the side effects i was experiencing. Has anyone in here had success with the XR?
