I'm not sure if I should be concerned. My 7 year old started Vyvanse (30mg) over the holiday break and it seems to make him very tired. He has been taking naps. This is odd because my kids never take naps, and I mean never. He seems to be falling asleep okay at night.
Other than the sleep question, I love it. He is eating better (he's only 45 pounds and with Concerta he didn't eat at all) and he normally doesn't have much of an appetite. Even though he says he is not hungry on Vyvanse he doesn't protest as much.
Should I be concerned? Is this just part of the adjustment to the meds? He goes back to school in two days.

it may pass, we saw that fatigue on certain meds, it generally would pass in a week or so. If it doesnt, let the doctor know.My son was tired in the late afternoon the first week he took vyvanse. It only lasted a short time. I would contact your md if it lasts more than a week..Enjoy the naps now..while you can!Thank you. We will wait and see.
