Can someone tell me about Clonidine? Is it something that you can buy over the counter?
My son is on Medatate and is having some trouble falling asleep. Not much of a problem now, but his dosage has just gone up from 10 to 20 mg and I'd like to know what my options are if this side effect gets worse. Since, otherwise, we are very happy with this medication so far!

I give my son 5 mg of Melatonin Doc ordered, and he is out in 20 minutes.Clonidine is a Blood pressure med( Catapres) that is sometimes used for ADHD symtpoms. It has to be taken daily, with no breaks and Is Not available OTC.
Melatonin is great for helping them get to sleep, .33mgs to start and do not go over 3 mgs.
