Phew.......the holidays are over!

isn't it a amazing when you have a good day...

just prior to holidays my son age 5 went on Clonidine and the chg was dramatic - very little disrubtive behavior, tantrums, gd conversations, etc.

made us realizes what a long/hard 3 yrs we had.... and what a great Xmas we were able to enjoy as never before...

We had such a good morning and good evening today, that I need to share.  I don't know how his day was at school today, will find that out tomorrow, frankly at this point it's irrelevant cause his time w/me today was so good, that's all I care about right now.  DS & I have been struggling so much lately with the argumentative side of him that I didn't think it would ever get better.  This morning was very good, got ready for school w/o hassle and made it all the way to school w/o any "I hate you's"!!  He was very good when I picked him up from daycare after work and continued the good behavior thru the evening.  We had one argument when it was time to turn off computer games after the timer went off, but I pulled him to his room and it stopped as quick as it started.  The rest of the evening was great.  I have no idea what is different about today, why the sudden change or if it will even last.  I'm just happy that we finally had a good evening together!  Overall for the day he earned 20 nickels and lots of praise from Mommy!

I agree, we need to learn to take pleasure in those times for sure
