pouring out some vyvance | ADHD Information

IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED TO ME BY SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE TO POUR OUT HALF FOR THE FIRST 4 DAYS THEN 1/4 THEN RAMP UP TO THE 30 MG. HAS ANYONE HERE DONE THIS??????I would ask the Pharmacist. Some meds cannot be opened and I think Vyvanse is one of them, it affects the release of the meds. IKNOW IT CAN BE OPENED AND MIXED WITH LIQUIDS AS PER THE PDOC. I JUST THINK I SHOULD GIVE HIM A LOWER DOSE TO START TO AVOID THE SIDE EFFECT TOO BAD. OR THEN AM I JUST PROLONGING THE INEVITABLE?iI HEARD OF PEOPLE STARTING AROUND 2/3-3/4 OF THE FULL 30 MG.I JUST WONDERED IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS. spamula39451.5872222222

I didnt have to do this, but I have read a few threads on here where people did it. Some did it to lower the 30mg to about 20mg and some did it to increase the mg to 60 (  I Know vyvanse only comes in 30, 50 and 7

My only concern is you are not getting a truly accurate dose so day to day it might be different and then you may prolong side effects that usually disappear within a week or so. Am i making any sense???

YOU ARE MAKING SENSE AS THAT WAS MY QUESTION. AM I JUST PROLONGING SYMPTOMS? THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY.I have heard before that when starting Vyvance you can take a little out the forst week on dose up from there. Has anyone done that? I want to keep the side effect down.Thank those few of you that did answer my post I really appreciate it. We were supposed to start the Vyvance tommorrow but hubby has scheduled 2 says of Cub Scouts(good for Jake) but I think next weekend is a 3 day one so we will start with 20 mg then. I have been told by quite a few peoplr to try to ramp it up a little in their system to get the best effect. Not many here can answer that for mr but I am going to try it. If it doesn't work, I will give him more.

i did it for the 3 days, although i was dumping less then a third out,  . i am doing it now to the 50 mg since we have bumped up, but she is almost at 50 now.  personnally i don't think it made the side effects any better or worse.  i was more concerned with her getting adjusted to the med while it was actively in her system.

btw i tried to respond to your message but you inbox was full.
