Alcohol and ADHD med reactions... | ADHD Information

I never had a problem with drinking while on meds.  I was on strattera for a while, but don't recall if I drank while on it.

I will say though, that if you hadn't eaten much during the day, as tends to happen when you're on stimulants, your experience after drinking the beer was probably due to dehydration (even if you were only mildly dehydrated the beer would have made it worse) rather than a reaction.  The concerta would have long been out of your system, possibly before you even started drinking if you take it in the am.

So I am curious to know if anyone has had these symptoms when they mix alcohol and their meds.
When I drank 2 glasses of wine on Straterra,  I ended up vomiting all day and wasn't able to keep even crackers down the next day, where normally... I wouldn't have any problem holding down twice the alcohol I had drank. I recently switched to Concerta 36mg and had 3 beers, and woke up 5 am to get a glass of water, felt like i was going to pass out and all the sudden nausea hit me. I couldn't open my eyes for a good  2 minutes bc i felt so disoriented and faint. I went to sit down right where I was and my body started profusely sweating all over, my skin was extremely clammy and ice cold.
Now, the Dr. told me I can drink a little. But the way my body is reacting to these drugs seems like I shouldn't drink at all. Has anyone had any types of reactions when drinking on their meds? Or do you think I should switch meds? any input would be helpful! thanks!!!! thanks for your reply.  I had eaten normally all day. You probably are right with the dehydration. It's just wierd, nothing has ever happened to me like that before so i just figured it was the concerta.  I took it around noon, and the reaction happened at 5am.  I am just  so confused???!!
