How long have you been on meds? It did take me a while to settle into a med and dose that didn't cause the things you have mentioned as concerns.
I have a prolapsed mitral valve and since I've gotten the medications balanced notice much fewer symptoms from that.
I did loose weight when I first started with the meds but have since evened out. Most of the weight loss I think was related to a kidney stone that went undiagnosed for a pretty long time. Once that was gone my appitie picked up, Lunch is the tough one for me so I have to make sure I keep myself eating little bits here and there through out the day. As a child I almost never ate breakfast however since I've been taking meds it's become a regular part of my routine. As long as I am not under large amounts of stress my appite seems to be ok.
The only way that you will know how it will work for you is to try. You're already ahead of the game if you know what to be watching out for and make changes before any real problems show up.

BTW, It's a whole lot easier for me to live up to everyone elses expectations! When I learn to settle for that I'll probably be a lot better off.
I don't feel overly stimulated, I actually feel fine and trying to go up so i can adjust to this Adderall before making a switch. I was reading where you can pour the Vyvance (30mg) in either 2 or 4oz of water and take an ounce a day for two day's or over a period of 4 days.
That sounds pretty good as you can take just the amount you need. They are coming out with 20, 40mg, and 60mg of Vyvance maybe in March.
But I was reading in another forum that Vyvance is the strongest amphetamine out there right now. I wonder if this is true, and if so i will not try it.
Sweetchild, the lift you are feeling after taking 5 mg XR is the result of only 2.5 mg entering your system. You sure are sensitive and given your concerns, you might want to play it safe and simple and try the non-stims out before going down the Adderall road. Alternatively, Vyvanse is the same active ingredient as Adderall xr I think, only in a "non-abusable" form, so that would be another option open to you.
Thank you for your answer!
I am taking AdderalXR 5mg right now. Trying to go up to 10mg a day.
I am just not really liking the stimulant effect! Heart rate goes up when i work out and not usd to that hyke in heart rate.
I mean I feel alright, just "different" on it. Anyone know what I mean?
I fel medicated.
On the flip side,I also feel like i could get physicologically addicted. LIke I really like taking it ( I am taking alitle under 5mg XR, trying to hike it up to 2x a day, as Dr. said to do. But I feel like I am getting used to the feelings on it and like it! I usd to do speed, like 15 years ago and not sure if this is the "addicted" side of me coming out, I could get addicted to diet pills, if I wanted to! iwas nver a person to use too much, so no way i would over do it, but its still there, phycologically, I think.
