What meds have stopped working? Has she been evaluated for Bp?

What are you doing about her behavior? I would make it clear that it is unnacceptable, and it HAS to stop. A punishment would follow for anything unnacceptable.

My daughters medicine has once again stopped working. She has started acting like a little four foot crazy person running around cursing, tearing up things. She has become so mean lately and completely out of control. If I didn't know better I would think she was possessed and be looking for the priest.Does anyone else feel this way?Have any of you been through this and found something that works?I need advice.Please.She has her next appt this Thursday.Any suggestions that I could ask the doctor about?I need help. That string that my sanity  is hanging from is becoming frazzled. My daughter went through a rough period a few months back.  Her behavior was reverting back to where we were prior to meds.   What we ended up doing was working with a therapist on the behavior side of things and then also working with her doctor on adjusting her meds.  We tried a bunch of combinations of stuff (adding boosters, switch to long acting med and also trying daytrana) and what we found was that she needed an increase in dosage.   Since we have upped the dosage,  we have had very few problems and the problems that do come up are easier to handle with the skills we learn from our therapist. momx5 if she's ahd this consistent issue with meds, maybe you should revisit her diagnosis? Just to be sure that ADHD is all you're dealing with. Just a thought. The meds that have been tried are;( concerta,vyvanse,strattera,focalin,adderall- all extended release) also booster in evening. She topped out on all of these. She now on Adderall 20mg at 6am, 9am, 12pm. 10mg At 3pm and clonidine 2mg at 7pm. She has taken clonidine with all of them. The meds will work great in the beginning but then it is as if she isn't taking anything. She sees a psychiatrist and therapist. She has only been with the psychiatrist for about 4 months. I agree that something else is going on.That is why I changed doctors.I felt that they needed to actually spend some time with her to give a proper diagnoses. He new Doctor does and I think she will eventually get her on something that works.I know it takes time. It's just hard seeing your child like this.I SO get what you are going through. My son has had periods of "managableness" but then there are periods where I have no clue what to do with him. He is now on 3 meds for ADHD, depression, and mood/bipolar. He takes concerta (45 mg), zoloft and tenex. I think the tenex is taking it to a new level, but his frustration, anger, innattentiveness are off the charts. He throws, bangs, and takes things apart. He is very angry, but getting to the source seems impossible. Sometimes I feel like he can onlly cope on some major drugs to control his temper. Tonight it was throwing things and taking apart his bedroom, the other day it was hole in wall. I can't wait for tommorow. I am very discouraged and saddened by all of this, but it's hard to know what to do.
