Daytrana and appetite loss, personality | ADHD Information

My DD has been using the Daytrana patch 10 mg for a month and a half now.  She will not eat!  I have all her favorite foods on hand and she still won't eat.  I am so torn because the medication helps her so much with school, but is it worth sacrificing her health?  She has been sick 3 times since December and I wonder if it may have weakened her immune system?  She rarely got sick before.  Have any of you had these issues?  Did they subside with time? How much time? Also, she seems to have lost some of her personality with the medication as well, will this subside?  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  The only other medication we tried was Focalin 10mg, but she had more side effects with that so we only took it for 2 weeks. The appetite issues sibside after a while. She may not be fully recovered from being sick, and starting a new med while sick may have osmething to do with it.

Daytrana 10mg is not comparable to Focalin 10mg, different strength of meds entirely.

we had the same problem and actually was one of the reasons we stopped the Daytrana. You DO have to balance overall health with symptom relief.
