medicine reaction or coincidence? | ADHD Information

I was wondering if anyone has had something like this happen. My son is 7.
He has been on Adderall XR since he was 4 1/2. He has been having a very
rough school year. With a psychiatrist's guidance, we have increased his
doses to 20 mg in the morning and 10 mg (of XR) at lunchtime. Then two
months ago we started Tenex. His dad and I saw no improvement, so he
stopped this weekend. When he came back he was bouncing off the walls! I
have not seen him this hyper in years. Today was not quite as bad as the last
three days, and his impulsiveness is not any worse, just his movement.
Could this be some sort of Tenex rebound? Today I also increased the
afternoon dose of Adderall XR to 15 mg. His mood got much more stable
and happy, but he was super distractible and still more hyper than usual. I
can live with happy and hyper, I am just puzzled.
