Most commonly Rx’d meds for add adults? | ADHD Information

Hi!  I was Dx add back in the 80's but have managed most of my life med-free.  Lately I am feeling unable to manage my add on my own and am trying to get an appt. with a psychiatrist for an evaluation.  I think it is pretty likey I may resume medication of some sort.  Anyway, I am a classic case of adhd-pi. My question:

What are the most commonly prescribed drugs for adults?

I would like to learn as much as possible about them before my appointment so I can discuss (and maybe participate in) the medication decision intelligently, if in fact, we get to that point. Thanks in advance- kidsinspace

KidsInSpace39480.5495717593Thanks! Here, where I live, it is Concerta and Adderall so far, that is what is most prescribed for adults here. sweetchild39481.5652893518strattera, non-stimulant medication, worked for a couple years for me, dry mouth was really the only side effect I had.  it's the only non-stimulant medication approved for adult add right now (i think, you might want to look that up)
