Daytrana Depression Side- Effect | ADHD Information

The first time I was on Daytrana, it made me really depressed from sometime near when I took it off to like the next morning. I decided to try it again, and I didn't get the problem. For 6 days, in fact (we had a trial pack). Then, we went up to the 300 mg, because I didn't think that the 20 was strong enough. Then, I started getting depression up until the point where I basically can't function when I take it off up until I go to sleep. I only get it when I take if off. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

DD used Daytrana for quite a long time with no depression, and no side effetcs.  Depression is a very uncommon side effect. Thanks for imput. We are thinking of switching to patch for my daughter who has trouble taking pills. A pharmasist i asked about the patch said her problem for clients had been irritability at skin where applied. She also said this person put patch on at night before bedtime, it was in childs system when they woke up, and it didn't cause any sleeping issues. Any one else hear of this.
