I have been on Adderall XR 30 and Cymbalta 60 mg for the past year. The combo was okay but found that I was irritable and crabby most of the time. I got to a point recently that the Adderall 30 mg wasn't doing anything for me.
I recently went to the psyc dr and was prescribed Dexedrine ER 10 mg(dextroamphetamine generic was all they had in stock). It seems I have had a severe reaction to the combo of Cymbalta and Dex. My heart isn't racing but I am bright red in the face and body. Has anyone else had this reaction with this combo? I have had severe tension headaches since switching to Dex as well.
Hoping for any positive or negative feedback and whether I should just go back to Adderall XR/Cymbalta combo.
Some of the antidepressants like Lexapro can increase the potency of the dexadrine products which could lead to increased irritabilty etc. Ask Doc or Pharm for more info...hopefully they will know something about this.
