What cold meds, if any are safe for use with stimulants? My son has had a nasty cold for over a week. I have had the humidifier on, hot showers,advil,lots of juice, etc . During the day he complains of the stuffy nose and headache. I was wondering is there ANYTHING you can give them for that type of colds with these type of meds? I googled interactions with vyvanse but didnt come up with any interactions with cold medicines.
He wont let me put Vicks on him..he hates the smell and he wont do nose drops/.saline spray!! LOL...Yet he complains!
I was thinking Claritin but think that is more for runny noses and allergies.

Im going to try the claritin during school. As long as it cant hurt him. The benadryl will make him sleepy. so not good for school. he seems to be sleeping ok at home, does most of his complaining during the day...

WE USE ZYRTEC AND IT WORKS FINE, WITH THE VYVANSE, ALSO FOR TROUBLE NIGHTS I USE DELSYM COUGH SYRUP TO GET MY DS THROUGH THE NIGHT. BENADRYL HYPES UP MY DS SO WE CAN'T USE IT.
