Here's good news. I have an ADHD son that is going to college next year. I look back and worried all his life wondering if he was going to manage on his own, make some positive decisions, and actually be socially appropriate -at least sometimes. Well he's turned out pretty good, with minor quirks, but wow I'm impressed. He is almost out of high school, did okay with that so I assume he'll do okay in college as well. Science of all things- the only thing that keeps his interest in school.
Just thought I'd share. I think I asked a question on this site in the past, about what his chances were being successful as an adult. Well we're not there yet, but well on the way. And Yippee he's moving into residence. I'll have fun visiting, and leaving if he wants to argue.
momiss239498.5052199074That is great. So happy for you and your successful son. College is such a milestone. My son is only 7 and I wonder the same things you did..so it's great to hear such a successful story...thanks!!
that is so wonderful! Does my heart good to read such successes. I dont know if my son will attend college, trade school or what but I just hope that what ever he does, he is happy, successful and fulfiled!

Thanks so much for sharing this. It gives great hope to me, and I'm sure to many others. Would you mind describing what he was like when he was younger? When my child's meds aren't in his system, he can be so out of control and nasty. I'm very worried how he'll ever go to college, get married, etc.
