Happy Momement

Ryan got his progress report last night. They get *S* satisfactory *N* Needs Improvement or *E* Extreme problems.

He got  only one *N*! In shows responsiblity! We were so thrilled. Usually its a half and half deal of S and N!

Kids in Space !! WTG FOR YOUR DD!! WHOOHOO!

. To BOTH of you!So great, guys! Wow!

Mine (in 1st grade) does in class handwriting practices, which have been
very challenging for her - lots of erasing and signs of obvious struggle.
These have never had any sort of "grade" or sticker on them positive or
negative. But this week she brought home two (on two different days) that
had A++++ at the top. She was in heaven! (remember Ralphie in The
Christmas Story with his fantasy theme getting an A+++++++? ) They were
beautiful, neat and organized and she was so proud! me too. :)
My daughter made the honor roll first semester too! It's amazing what that did for her self-confidence and how it's motivating her to continue to do well!
I am happy for you. Congrats to your daughter! And everybody else's kids! Isn't great to get good news?My oldest got accepted into an option school called the school of science and technology (our school district offers several different schools that are focussed on certain areas).  We just found out this weekend.  There is only a little over a hundred kids in the whole school and that is the part of it that I like best. He isn't gonna be swallowed up in his big high school next year.

Congratulations to you all!!!

One thing I have learned in life is that you have to celebrate the good times.

Great Job everyone!!

I had some nice cuddle time with my 7 yr old son this weekend.. which doesnt happen very often these days! ahhh, they grow up so fast! He doesnt often let me cuddle with him or give him kisses! This weekend, we had two instances of cuddling up while watching a movie.

OK now ours. Three positive notes home from school!! In one week. One was handwritten from my daughters art teacher sent home on one of her drawings on how well she is doing in her art class. Major imrpovement in drawings since beginning of year and she is "highly motivated". NO ONE and I mean no one has evey used the word highly motivated and my daughter in the same sentence !

I am SO proud of her. Nothing has made her this excited to work for in years.

Here's ours, from Friday.

DS had his first band concert (playing percussion, what else!?) and the concert was taking place in an historic building, on a stage with a one-of-a-kind mural painting backdrop.

Of course DS (age 9) and the other percussionist stood in the back by the mural.

He was SO NERVOUS that he would lose control of his body, drumsticks, whatever, and damage that mural, but he did great! Even managed to pay attention to his parts throughout the whole thing, AND said it was fun!

Yay!!

Our son (1st grade) has been doing so well the last couple of weeks (finally now that the behavioral plan from his IEP has been put into place) that he was made Student of the Week this week!!!! This means the class makes a banner for him, & each day he brings in something that means alot to him & tells the class about it. Yesterday was one of his karate trophies & today was a picture of him & his little brother. We are SO proud of him & he was very proud of himself too!!

Congrats to all of you and all your wonderful, special children!

OUR kids are wonderful and its so good to see OTHER people reconize that!

Yes, ....we too had an excellent mid 9 weeks report....first one this year!!!!!!!!!!

It is great when they bring home such good grades.....Don't you just swell up

with pride that your child has accomplished such a feat....

We did the happy dance this week end....all the hard work finally paid off...

Congrats to all kids also the parents....LOL....job well done..

Just thought I would share our happy moment from the weekend.

Each year 5th graders at our school do a report on a state.   The first task is to complete 200 note cards (which were due in January).  The 2nd task is to write the outline (which is due on Monday) and the 3rd is to write the report.   The assignment is torture for everyone - adhd or not.

Well all week, my daughter has been really struggling with getting the outline done.  It's had her in a tizzy.  Last night my husband and I went out to dinner and left our 7th grader in charge.  I offered her to help sister finish her outline.   When we go home, the outline was finished and the dishwasher unloaded!   I was so excited.   It's moments like these that make all the hard work worth it.
