Just started Adderall | ADHD Information

I've no experience with kids..just my own.  I suspect your young one is feeling a bit "spooked" by how he is feeling and thinking on the medication.  It's understandable..I was too at first.  Just not used to the brain working that way at first, so it would seem very natural for a 5 year old to want Mama--we all do when feeling insecure!  If my guess is right, experiencing the meds over the weekend while being home and feeling secure should help.Hello everyone in the ADHD message board!!
I have two young ones who just started ADDERALL on wednesday, there ages are 5 and 7. My oldest one seems to be doing great he says thats it helps him and he is able to sound words out better so he can read and everyday seems to be coming home in a good mood. As for my youngest as i picked him up today his whole facial expression said it all, he was crying and was terribly upset saying that he missed me all day, as i asked his teacher she said that he was like this all day today and yesterday (since he started) Now if you know him you would know this is highly unusual and when we got home he was fine. As i went in to depth of the subject to the teacher she said that his overall focus is much better and is able to sit in a chair without moving his hand and feet for more than five mins. Now without going into too much i was just wondering if this happen to any of your kids the first couple of days? I'm only giving them 5 mg since i'm not a big fan of giving kids meds and wanted to see if the low dosage would work first.
