5th school suspention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | ADHD Information

my son too was taken out of the after school program for 3 days. I can understand the sadness. Just like the others asked, why is he mad? When you talk to your son about why he is in trouble can he tell you? Are you able to get professional help? Don't give up, your son needs you during these very hard times for him.

I have the same questions as chinamom.  Why does he act out? 

 

I am so sorry to hear of your son's difficulties. Is his fighting a result of his
disability? If so, there are laws that may keep him from getting suspended.
Under what category is his IEP? Does he have ADHD or other health issues?
Is he on meds?   Does he see the school psychologist? Sorry for all the
questions, but I truly want to understand (as a teacher).   

Hope you get the help you and your son need. I would definitely speak to
his dr for some guidance.
Is there a behavior plan included in his IEP? They cannot legally keep him from activities, it violates IDEA, I would call them and see whats going on and why he is being suspended.

I just wanted to blowjsome steam. MY child just got another school suspenstion, and now he can't even join his class for his recitilHe keeps taking matters in his own hands and settleing his problems with his fist.Not only did that happen but he broke his glasses, which i think that should come out of his own pocket(he's been saving money for the wii ). I'm so sad, all this just breaks my heart. He can be soo sweet but also a little monster to. I hope he outgrows this soon,and stops hurting his peers.

He gets iep at school and they are really patient,but i just wonder if they will give up on him and send him to another school.at the moment his future seems so bleek. I can't help but to wonder what'ts next. He's only 8 but it seems like i'm dealing with a teen out of control.
