NEW HERE NEED ADVICE BAD

Jay - i thought I had problems!!!! You must be an amazing woman to deal with that much! and you seem so positive too.  WOWWhat about your past doctor, the one who diagnosed and was treating you previously? Wouldn't he be willing to give you a prescription without charging you for a visit until your insurance kicks in? Our psych MD only makes my DD come in 3 or so times a year and in between visits, we call him and he mails us the prescription.

I'm a bit confused as to why you have to be rediagnosed. Once your diagnosed you shouldn't have to be retested unless you or your doctor think the diagnoses was not acurate to begin with.

I've been going through some hardtimes myself lost job and insurance so couldn't afford to keep going to psych. I went down to my local doctor and he said he had no problem prescribing the meds for me. All I had to do was tell him my psych so he could get the records of my treatment. For the past year he has saved me financially and sanity wise because he doesn't make me come in for an office visit just refills my Rx once a month.
