Observation/Poll regarding OTC and RxMeds

I have noticed that I react differently than most people to many medications and I was wondering if maybe this is an ADD trait.  Many medications that are supposed to make you drowzy (OTC cold remedies, pain meds, etc.) will give me insomnia.  Also, prescription paid medications do nothing for me except give me a headache.  The few times I've had to take them they don't touch my pain and keep me awake instead of making me drowzy.  I do much better on ibuprofin.   I'd make a lousy junkie! :)

I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same findings or if it's just me.

Thanks!

All OTC meds I've taken in my life, except for pseudophedrine, have never seemed to have any effect.  I've taken them anyway, figuring "what the heck, they say this is what to take, so I will!" This includes aspirin, ibuprophine, tylenol, cough medicines and other cold medicines.  Nor has coffee ever given me the jitters, or kept me from sleeping, even if I drink several cups after an evening meal.
