rewards for passing it in. Maybe the teacher can send you a note once a week with how many assignments were passed in on time. So many passed in assignments gain 1/2 later bedtime on weekend or something? Turn it around to the positive. You're right though, you need the teachers cooperation on this one.

Ok, I'm always asking about Trent my youngest son, but this time I'm in dire need of advice on my oldest. He just turned 9. Last year he was diagnosed add. We tried straterra and it made him very emotional and angry violent. To the point when he got mad at me, he swung a shoe at me and hit me with it. And when we would ask him to go do his homework, or get ready for bed, he would take off running and screaming crying to his room. You would have thought we grounded him or something. So we took him off of it and just worked with him to help him cope.

Anyway, to current. My son is very capable and has had A's. Until this year. His biggest problem last year, was he was very easily distracted, nervous and trouble focusing, staying on task & FORGETFUL!!!!

Well he seems to be managing with most. He's still a very nervous child, and has a little bit of focus issues and staying on task but our biggest problem with him is forgetting. he forgets homework, or leaves it who knows anymore. He says he forgets, but I think its an excuse. I have caught him lying to cover his own butt at school by telling his teacher he doesn't feel well, when he's fine. Anyway, so I've complained all year long to his teacher, please take away recess, make him stay in and do the work or something, anything. Instead all year, he just gives him a new homework sheet and lets him complete it in school. So today I got an email from his teacher that for 2 days now he has had no homework to turn in. And he doesn't want to see him get behind. And as long as he completes it and turns it in he wont give him a 0 on them.

Ok, so here is my problem, I've been bitching to him all year about this, now all of the sudden he's interested in changing it. So I told him, this is what i've been concerned with all year. Please give him a definite date he has to complete them and turn them in by and be certain to let him know that he will get 0's if he doesn't.

I don't know what else to do. Im not at the school. I do everything I can to get my son to complete his homework at home, but I can't control what happens at school. I know for a week straight, he had his homework done, just didn't turn it in. WTH???? I mean I'm not there, I can't turn it in for him, or remind him. So wth is  the teacher doing? Then I'm told by another parent of a child a year older then my son, that they make fun of his teacher, cause he's ALWAYS on his phone at school. Everytime they see him his phone is glued to his ear. This makes me furious, no wonder he doesn't know whats going on or what these kids are doing.

So I told the school today I need to speak to someone, because it can't continue its gotten to the point my son wont even do his homework at home. because he knows his teacher wont do a dang thing about it, if he doesn't have it done. wth? how do i change this? I've grounded him taken everything away from him. I don't know what else to do.

I guess I'm going to have to take him back to the doctor and see about trying a new medicine to help him focus, and maybe it'll help him not be so forgetful.
