When I pick up my son from school every day, I always have a short little chat with his teacher about how his day went. Today when I picked him up, she beelined for me and said, "you won't believe what happened today!" My first thought was - oh man - what did he do now? HAHA!
But, she went on to say that another child had bloodied his lip during art class, and MY SON was chosen as the helper to take him to the nurse! OMGosh! At our school, being chosen to be the helper is a HUGE honor. One my son has NEVER had before! You have to be able to trust that the kids will make it to their destination and not wander around - something my son hasn't been that good at - hehe.
She also said that we were making great progress with my son now that we started the meds and he can focus. She said he listened and paid attention all day today!
I am soooo proud of him I can't stand it! He of course acts like it is no big deal whatsoever. But, I am thru the roof! YAY!
Thanks for letting me boast and celebrate a little!

congrats to you and him both. We also got a better report card yesterday whoo hooo!
You should be celebrating a lot! That's wonderful news! Also, kudos to the teacher for taking the time to tell you the good stuff. It seems many teachers only want to talk to parents when something bad is going on.
Congrats again to you and your child!!!!! It feels like he just climbed Mt. Everest, doesn't it?
