I am loving reading all these!! WHAT awesome wonderful kids we all have!!!
This is a great thread!!
Ryan has a great sense of humor, loves and is kind to all creatures, great and small, a very loyal friend, and gives the best hugs!

What a breath of fresh air! We are constantly hearing the rundown of these kids' "challenges", "issues" and "difficulties" - I am going to save these posts to re-read whenever I need a reminder and a pick-me -up.
My son grabs life with both hands - bounds out of bed each morning like the greatest thing ever is just about to happen, shares his emotions without reservation, notices everything, and tells me that I'm the best mom in the world

My son has an incredible memory, which is a God-send for him because he can remember all of the twenty things he has going at once!!
He is also loving to his stuffed animals, still cries when he thinks about our deceased dog (gone about year), draws fantastical "Nightmare-Before-Christmas"-esque pictures, and genuinely likes most people. (If he doesn't like someone, he always has very logical and insightful reasons why not.)
It makes me smile just to look at him!
BPQW39539.9813888889Fantasitic memory, interesting facts he can tell, would be an excellent lawyer, very bright, kind to animals, tells parents he loves them still.I thought it would be nice to make a list of the possitive things about your ADHD child. SO name one possitive thing you think of when you think of your child.
I'll start:
Gavin is a sweetheart!
My son holds the door open for everyone no matter where we are. If he sees someone far away but headed in the direction of the door he waits. Sometimes he does it for so long that I have to make stop.
My little gentleman!
My son is funny! Sad to say but I had forgotten how funny he was until we started the meds. You never know what he is going to say - he is a master of language.
When he was 3 yrs old we were at the lake and it was SUPER hot. He got into my mom's car where the a/c had been on and he said - at 3 yrs old mind you - Wow! It is REFRESHING in here! I thought my mom and stepdad were going to die laughing! HEHE!
DD is very compassionate towards kids with Physical Disabilities, she will go out of her way ot be nice to the Kid at school who is eating lunch alone. She never lacks for friends. My daughter's creativity and humor. She just cracks me up sometimes.Ashlee is reading at a 6th grade level in 2nd grade! Smarty pants!
Jon will share his toys with other children without being asked. At Christmas he packed up a lot of his nice toys in a plastic bag and asked me to donate them to poor children. He is sweet, has a great sense of humor, will help me without my asking, is a great athlete and is wonderful with animals. Will is the most tenderhearted child I've ever seen.
Today, our cat brought us a mouse from the woods,
. Will cried and cried about the poor little mouse..

Isn't it unfortunate that those qualities aren't valued more in our society? They are priceless.
My son is a great helper, has a great sense of humor. My step-son is very caring and has a HUGE heart!
Camper39536.3504976852I'll mention one positive ADHD trait that I don't think has yet been mentioned in this thread. My child is extremely observant. He notices things that most people don't notice. Teachers have been commenting on this since he's 3, and every single year the teacher comments on this to me. I think it's related to the distractability; he picks up on everything going on in his environment. This can be a negative, but it also can be a very positive thing! He's taught me a lot about noticing things around me that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.Mom2ADHDboy39536.487025463My son likes to compliment little old ladies. He has gone up to several and told them what a lovey hat they have or that the color they are wearing looks very nice on them. These little old ladies just love it.
Also, my son that says he can't write-- discovered typing and is writing a book. He has 7 pages so far. Yesterday, he asked me how long a chapter needs to be. Major accomplishment!!!!!!
Sawyer joined the "Young Heroes" last year (subsidiary of Americorps and
. Can't ask for anything more than that I guess!
