We use Strattera. We have no side effects. In teh beginning and with each ramp she did get a little tired for a few days, but it passed. For a long time we split her dose. Now she takes her full dose in the morning and it's fine. I think everyones different. I'd try it in the mornings for starters and if there are any issues you could change it to the evenings until at target dose then go back to mornings or a split dose if needed. My daughter had terrible side effects on stimulants and even though the focus piece may have been a little better, but it was just NOT worht the side effects.
My 6 year old has just been prescribed Strattera (he was taking a stimulant med before but it stopped working and he was having side effects.) I've been reading about Strattera and am seeing all kinds of scary side effect stories.
I did read that it can be taken at night which may help in coping with any sleepiness and stomach aches. Has anyone tried this? From what I understand it stays in your system if you take it daily- I just don't know if him taking it at night will reduce it's effectiveness during the day because not as much would be in his system still? Thanks for any advice.
