lea representative | ADHD Information

i have this representative attending my son's iep meeting. does anyone know what this person's role is and what can i expect . i researched it and only found out to have one at the meeting but thats all, just wanted more information on their role

A principal, special education director, teacher, or anyone who can be sure the services in the IEP are provided to the child.  This person must know about the regular education curriculum and the school district’s resources.  The LEA representative must have the authority to commit resources.The school chooses the LEA representative.  The LEA representative has the knowledge of, and authority to, commit district resources the child needs.

You need to ask who the LEA is, write down their name and title, you may need it later.
