Hello,
I am a 28 year old male recently diagnosed with ADHD. For the last 6 months I have been on 150mg twice per day Wellbutrin SR for depression. My Psychiatrist now has me take the first 150mg Wellbutrin in the AM and replaced the PM dose with 40mg Strattera.
I am on day 4 of the Strattera and I don't know if I can take the side effects much longer. I have had pretty much every side effect listed: upset stomach, decreased appetite, insomnia/fatigue, constipation/difficult urination, dry mouth, sexual problems, cold sweats (especially at night) and dizziness. The side effects I am most troubled by are the insomnia and fatigue. I have not had a full nights rest since I started taking Strattera. I wake up probably 10 times each night for no apparent reason. Durring the day I feel my body is physically exhausted and my movement has slowed considerably however my mind does feel somewhat "wired". By the time work is over and I get home all I want to do is sleep. I have had no energy to work out or perform any kind of physical activity. I am afraid that Im going to become fat if this continues.
So I guess my question is, has anybody else had all these side effects? I can understand having a few side effects such as the ones I initially had to the Wellbutrin but it seems odd that I have experienced just about every side effect listed for Strattera. If this is normal, how long do these effects tend to last? I dont know how much longer I can take this. I'm probably doing to stop taking the Strattera if the side effects are going to last much longer.
I would like to know if any other adults have had the same experience and have been successful with this drug or if it would be better to ask my doc for a stimulant.

I am a 34 man. I went to my doctor about checking out some meds for what I thought might have been wrong with me. (Ex. not being able to focus,figitiness,not being able to hear people talk even tough I have exceptional hearing)I never was "tested"for ADHD. My doctor gave me 40mg Strattera to try. She told me that I was the 1st patient prescribed by her for this drug. Anyways, the first day I was literally wiped out. I felt like I wanted to sleep all day. By the end of the day I was talking and walking super slow,nausea, and I felt funny downstairs if you know what I mean. I called my doctor the next day and told her so she lowered my dose to 25. Although the tiredness and the nausea have subsided I can not acheive an erection. Sometimes in the A.M. before I take it but thats it. I see my doctor next week but I want to either get off the drug or drastically lower the dose. On another note my minds not racing around and I'm not as figity but I don' t want to go on Viagra to be a man. sorry so long, I'll keep you posted.
