I was just curious about how Metadate CD is working for those of you who are using it for yourself or children. My nephew has been on it for 6 years and they only increased his dosage this year from 20 to 30. He is 15. I am thinking about trying a new med for my son because his rebounding is getting more difficult for him to handle. I am not gonna make any changes till school is out because I don't want him to fall back if the new meds don't work as well.

You mentioned that your son is rebounding badly now. I see in your signature that he's taking Vyvanse. That's in the amphetamine family. Metadate is a methylphenidate drug. If he's doing well with the amphetamine, I'd stick w/ it. Maybe talk to your dr. about starting guanfacine to help w/ rebound. That's what my child's dr. recommended, and it helped us a lot.
