we had the meeting | ADHD Information

at my oldest sons school today. She said by looking at the chart we filled out he definitely has some inattentiveness, but she is by no means a doctor. he could be at risk for odd.

then we get to the teachers sheet. mind you he's the one who had the principal call me when the incident happened with my son and another boy, then a few times he's sent home not that he can't keep his hands or items to himself. and that he's constantly forgetting things, or tearing up erasers in class and this and that, then he scores him all 0, and 1's aside from like 2 that he gave him a 2 on.

I mean hello, the entire year my son has NOT turned in papers, he flat out tells im no i didn't study my multiplication cause i don't want to, bla bla bla. and he scores him really low on everything.

so she's going to have his reading resource person test him for reading disability. Because I told her how i will read his story to him one night, then he will read it to me the next night and so on, and if i ask him questions when he reads he has NO CLUE what he read, but if i read and ask him questions, he can blurt them right out. they said it sounds like he is an auditory learner. but they are gonna test him. and she suggested fish oil or something else to try to help him focus at school.

we did determine he does have some anxiety, possibly from the fear of when he thinks he is having a sub. so i'm going to wait to see what the testing shows for him with reading, then we are going to have another meeting in a week to determine what route for next year.
