i am sorry to hear about your sister.
i wish i had some advice for you. my daughter (7yo) has been on vyvanse for several months now and has not had this problem. she will however hold it to the very last minute and then RUN to the bathroom, (on or off the vyvanse). she doesn't like to stop what she is doing to go to the bathroom. with my daughter i think that she is either over focused on what she is doing, or just doen't want to stop a good thing. imo if she is just continuning with her wet clothes, that she doesn't want to stop what she is doing.
i think that there is a connection btwn adhd and bathroom issues. if she isn't empting her bladder when she does go, you might want to consult a urologist. a friend of mine whose son has adhd, has had bathroom issues for most of his life, after seeing a urologist, he does often have constipation issues that cause him to have urine accidents.
My 8 yr old Daughter started on Vyvance one month ago and she started having accidents within a week or two of starting it. My sister also passed away at this same time and we are unsure if these incidences are due to stress or the medication. She has never had accidents before but she does have a hard time waiting when she needs to go and often goes 2 or 3 times in a 30 minute block during the day. She literally isn't saying anything, just going in her clothes and continues about her day. I didn't even give her the Vyvance today and she did it twice.
Just wondering if anyone else who has tried Vyvance has had any similar issues with their child??
