Introducing myself, Albany NY | ADHD Information
I am mother of a 4 year old boy who recently relocated from PA. My son has not been diagnosed with a disorder yet but has been classified with the state as a preschooler with special needs because of social emotionial needs. He has been asked to leave several preschools and now we may have found the "right fit". He is a very loving little boy at times. I have been looking for friends since we moved here 2 years ago and the people I meet never seem to call back after ther see a meltdown from my son. I was looking to meet people that would understand and maybe help give advice and let me know that I am normal and not that my child should be beat because he acts out. Is anyone near Albany ny? Has anyone had any issues of their child on the Catapres patch (Clonidine). My son is on Depakote and Catapres and he seems to be more calm but when I switch his patch, for the 1st day or 2 he acts very defiant. I cant get him to do anything without a fight. I was thinking it was just me and his mood were just a coinicidence of when I changed his patch but it seems to be really happening.I did not know if anyone else has ever had similar results. He seems to do good on it after the initial 2 days though. Thank you for reading,
