on Meds but still very hungry | ADHD Information

He is still skinny -we have no issue with weight gain - he has stayed between 58-61 lbs for the last year. My DD has never had appetite decrease with stims, in fact some cause an increase in her appetite. We stopped Straterra due to her gaining an alarming amount of weight because she would not/could not stop eating. Not all kids have the decrease in appetite, every child is different. Ok - I read on here all the time that kids on stimulants have issues and loss of appetite. My child, even though we just increased him from 18 to 36 Concerta he is still hungry. Every night for the last few weeks he always wants to eat right before bed. He ate all his breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between. Does anyone have this issue as well? How wonderful that you have an eater!  Are you concerned about too much weight? If not, I wouldn't worry.  His body may need the addition of some carbs to help him sleep.
