still having trouble with pill. | ADHD Information

I wrote a few days ago about my son starting on Strattera.  I tried jello, vanilla pudding and he still bit down on it.  This morning I put his pill in with vanilla pudding (his favorite) and he gaged on it.  My husband's grandson's wife told me to have him put a bunch of water in his mouth and hold it in there without swallowing it and then slip the pill in his mouth and tell him to swallow.  Has anyone ever tried this?  Tommorow will be his third pill.  I wish I can just sprinkle it in a tiny glass of water and have him drink it.keep practicing. Try the water trick, but like edbson says try it with tic tacs first, so you dont waste meds and it'll taste ok if he bites it. Orange flavored ones worked for us as my daughter hated mint

My dd had to learn to swallow pills at age four because she has rheumatoid arthritis.  We were given terrible advice from our doctor's nurse and I won't go into that.  What worked was to put it on a spoonful of apple sauce and we would tell her to float the boat (pill) down her throat.  It worked. 

My second dd learned to swallow pills another way.  She would place the pill on the back of her tongue and then take a swallow of milk or water.
